In the recent update of the Fishery Progress Profile, the FFSAPI – SARGEN Handline demonstrated measurable progress in its development milestones. As a result, the FIP Evaluation Program assigned the project a “C” progress rating, reflecting improvements and strengthened commitments toward sustainable handline fisheries management.
The “C” rating signifies progress in implementing key workplan actions and advancing toward sustainability outcomes. It reflects improvements in governance engagement, policy development, data collection, and strengthened monitoring and control measures within the fishery sector.
