Partners of the Fisheries Improvement Project actively participated in the ASIC-Fisheries Stakeholders Meeting held last July 28, 2023, at Kingsford Hotel on J.W. Diokno Blvd, Tambo, Paranaque, Metro Manila. The meeting was attended by representatives from SOCSKSARGEN Federation of Fishing and Allied Industries, Inc (SFFAII), Contreras Professional Consultancy Corp. (CPCC), Sargen Fish Port Tuna Handline Fishing Association Inc. (SARGEN Handline), and Fresh Frozen Seafoods Association of the Philippines Inc. (FFSAPI).
Asian Seafood Improvement Collaborative (ASIC) Fisheries Stakeholder Meeting with aims to gather stakeholder’s feedback on fisheries standards to revise and adjust to current fisheries practices. ASIC is a multi-stakeholder non-profit organization providing support for Asian seafood producers, empowering them and fostering inclusive business models through seafood improvement programs, capacity building and market access programs. The meeting aims to also explore further collaboration opportunities in conducting fisheries improvement and related projects.
